Health Safety & Environment Policy
Purpose
It is the commitment of Regent Energy Group, (REG) that every employee is entitled to a safe work environment, free from recognized health and safety hazards. REG is committed to maintaining a strong Safety Management System that protects its employees, its property, its subcontractors, and the general public from occurrences that may result in property loss, personal injury or illness. REG is also dedicated to keeping our environment free from the release of any substance that may cause harm to our natural surroundings and neighbors.
Our Safety Management System is designed to incorporate the use of an Employee Observation Program, a Loss Control Reporting System and a Hazard Assessment and Analysis Process. This enables the identification and elimination of potential risks and promotes participation from all our employees at every level. The program also supports a structure for a workplace free from substance abuse and harassment.
Responsibilities
Prime contractors, employers, workers and subcontractors, are all equally responsible and accountable for our safety objectives. Active participation by everyone everyday in every job is necessary to achieve the safe-work environment we all expect.
In fulfilling this commitment to protect both people and property, REG will provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment. Management supports the program's objectives by providing the necessary resources including proper safety equipment, safety training and comprehensive safe work procedures.
Objective
Our overall objective is an injury and incident free workplace. We can accomplish our shared goal through diligent safety and loss control efforts through dedicated teamwork. With continual development of the Safety Management System, we will be capable of enhancing the overall well-being of all employees.
Regulatory Compliance Standards
The Safety Management System is continually developing in accordance with Industry Standards, Best Practices and REG'S Management of Change. We will continue to review and modify this policy to meet and/or exceed federal, provincial and municipal legislative requirements.
